If you are looking to store or transport chemicals which are sensitive to heat and sunlight you require an IBC which provides suitable protection. The special white pigment used in MAUSER® SM LP reflects sunlight and therefore helps limit temperature levels inside the container.
Many composite IBCs provide protection from light by using black coloured bottles. While this does indeed keep the light out it also absorbs a great deal of heat increasing the temperature of any chemicals inside. This is of particular significance because many light-sensitive filling goods also tend to react chemically at higher temperatures.
Here at Discount IBCs we provide the MAUSER® SM LP which is equipped with a specifically engineered light-impermeable bottle. Constructed using a combination of polyethylene and an additive which protects the filling goods from UV and visible light, even in geometrically complex areas like nearby the discharge valve and the top filling opening. Compared to composite IBCs with a full metal casing, this is a significant and noticeable advantage.
